His friendly, open demeanor makes it easy to feel like you are discussing scary things with a friend. He broke an instrument off in my back during a surgery 15 months ago but apologized and made plans for the eventual removal (it was an unlucky fluke and we believe not directly his fault) which I just went thru. He checked on me daily in the hospital and is generally a very caring, down to earth person. I would recommend anyone into his care even after what happened to me.
Gives incorrect timings for phone appointments
Blathers on about unrelated medical conditions that make the patient feel uncomfortable
And even forced unsolicited advise on me after i had told him “DON’T”
I have had two surgeries with Dr Robicaud. First one 5 years ago, high risk of paralysis (quad). He was absolutely amazing. I truly feel if wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be where I am today. Second surgery just recently (unrelated), I was in quickly and was back to work within a few weeks. I can not recommend Dr Robichaud highly enough! His team is also extraordinary! He listens to concerns, does not “by the book” symptom manage, never spoke “down to” as some specialists can, explains everything, pros and cons, and understands the need to have a quick recovery to resume normal life.
