Dr Hoang is fully responsible for the amputation of my left foot. She took charge of my case at the Leduc Hospital on October 28,2024. I presented with a broken small toe and an apparent infection. Dr Hoang took charge of my case and I began IV treatment that day. All treatment was done at the Leduc Hospital except two days that I went to her clinic at the Grey Nuns Hospital. Everything went well along the way and the last time that I saw her was at her clinic on Nov 28, 2024. By then I had switched to pills for medication and she took some blood work. She said that she was really pleased how things were going and that she felt that we had it solved. I still had an MRI booked at the UofA on Dec 11,2024. She actually said that maybe she would use it for another patient but I immediately told her that I had already made arrangements and would go. She said that was great and that I should contact Dr Salamu for results a few days after the MRI. I did not talk to Dr Salamu until Dec 27 because he was out of the office for a few days. He said that he had to talk to Dr Hoang regarding my MRI but made an appointment for me to see him Jan 7, 2025 to go over my medications going forward.I saw him and he said everything was good as far as the MRI was concerned. I showed him my foot which was completely healed and I was on my way. On February 24 I noticed a patch of red skin where my infection had been below my small toe. The next day it was raised somewhat so I phoned Dr Hoang and left a detailed message. Feb 26 the bump is somewhat bigger but not open left another message. Tried Dr Hoang no go. Contacted the wound clinic in Leduc and they had me come in immediately. They examined the foot and took pictures. Everything was sent to Dr Hoang and they said it was always opened but never had any replies. I went to the clinic thirteen times my last visit on April 24,2025.The foot settled down so the clinic said to take a break as it wasn’t seaping or open at the time. Then on May 2 I felt horrible with hot flashes and sweats. I thought that I had the flu. May 3 woke up sweating profusely and my foot was very swolen and open.My family rushed me to emergency where I spent nine hours.I was given a complete work up blood work and swabs from my now badly infected foot.I was given IV Vancomysin and sent home to return first thing in the morning.Same thing on May 4 woundcare bloodwork and vancomysin. May 5 they had room for me and admitted me and went to work
