Dr. Sparling came into our first appointment with a 6’5” security guard for some reason. I guess she was afraid of me, but I have no history of violence, and I may be one of the least threatening people I know. I felt like she did this because she’s afraid of people who are bipolar. I asked her why, and she said she does this with all of her first patients. So, not only is she discriminatory towards people with bipolar disorder, she also lies, and doesn’t have any problems lying to her patients. What psychiatrist has a body guard with them with all their new patients…? And the guard actually started to defend her when I called her out for profiling me as violent. I also have ADHD, so I asked her if she could close the door so that I could hear her better. She would not close the door, and was implying that it was because she was afraid of me even though she had a 6’5” guard weighing in at 250lbs. lol.
On several occasions I had to repeat myself even though I was perfectly clear. Essentially, she didn’t believe what I was saying and was projecting her beliefs onto me. It was pathetic. It is not safe for this person to practice medicine. I fear for her past, present, and future patients. I recorded the whole thing, it was disgraceful. Unfortunately, this doctor has surely caused many of her patients to kill themselves unfortunately. We all need to be recording air conversations with psychiatrists to hold them somewhat accountable, as the system will not.
