I can’t thank Dr. Sall enough for “thinking outside the box” with my almost 95-year-old non-dementia patient mom while she was in hospital. She had had numerous short hospital stays with the usual response, thinking it’s an elderly woman with certain symptoms, so it’s a UTI, “get her on IV antibiotics.” Dr. Sall went the extra mile, looking at her meds, trying an innovative approach, and coming up with the proper dosages of medications. She has been SO MUCH better and it’s all due to Dr. Sall’s intelligent and caring approach. We need more Dr. Salls in medicine: curious, looking for not-so-obvious remedies. Not all elderly patients are the same, just like the rest of us.
