This was the worst experience I have ever had with a mental health practitioner. He was dismissive, talked over me, put words in my mouth, gaslit me, embarrassed me, made me cry and shut down, and ignored my initial request. At the end, he reminded me that if I were to take my own life, he would not be liable. The appointment was so traumatizing that I needed months of therapy afterward just to recover from the visit.
To make matters worse, he ended the appointment before 20 minutes had passed, even though it was supposed to last an hour. He told me that if I was not willing to accept antipsychotics, then he was “done here.” My appointment had been to discuss an autism diagnosis, not to be pressured into medication.
He should not be in practice, and I did make a formal complaint.
The psychiatrist was the attending doctor for my father during a mental health crisis which resulted in his ultimate demise. Our family will be filing against this doctor to get his license revoked. Please do not under any circumstances allow this man near any of your loved ones.
