Staff 1 Punctuality 1 Helpfulness 1 Knowledge 1
The terms of my admittance were violated as I was not assessed within the 72 hour period that I was being held. I had to call her in the evening, then have a nurse look for her. This very obviously upset her. She asked about my addiction, cut me off when I tried to explain the amount I used, and was sarcastic. “You tell me if that sounds like a lot,” she barked at a formerly suicidal patient she had just met.

She attempted to keep me in the facility longer and stated that I would just go back to smoking weed if I left. I asked if she planned on keeping me there forever in that case. She had nothing to say then.

After trying unsuccessfully to convince my parents to side with her, she told me I just needed sleep, which didn’t require staying in a psych ward, so why not just say that on our one-on-one?

She said my “brain was messing with” me and used an example that I had to dismantle, exemplifying how little she actually listened and her true intentions. Upon leaving the hospital, even my parents agreed she was trying to keep me there in an act of revenge, and it is why I will never seek mental help from a hospital for the rest of my life. If you find yourself at the hospital with her name on your bracelet, ask for someone else.
