Dr. N. Tassone was my treating physician in ER RVH, on September 9th, 2022. I came with extreme pain in my throat due to severe pharyngitis. I could not swallow, I kept making myself not to swallow for as long as I could and if I did, it would bring me extreme pain. I couldn’t eat or drink. I told all these symptoms to this Doctor. I told him that in last 24 hours I did not drink at all due to the pain and asked him to put an IV for me for hydration and for the medication. Instead Dr. Tassone refused, saying he does not see the need for it and gave me medication P.O. – orally in a tablet. I had to swallow it with excruciating pain- he should have given it to me per IV, intravenous, together with fluids to prevent me from suffering more. He failed to feel and show any compassion to his patient. His report about me was demeaning with total lack of any empathy. He never mentioned in his report my complaint about severe pain and not having fluids for a long time. So basically he lied about my condition. His treatment was not relevant to my health state, except pharmacology, and attitude was not appropriate not on a personal level nor on professional. He was lacking empathy and compassion and lying in his report.
On June 24 2020 I saw this doctor at RVH ER. I has sever pain and was vomiting blood. He did minimal tests and sent me home with an RX for an ulcer. I had no history of ulcers. I was back at the ER the next week because the pain had not stopped and I was very sick. My appendix had ruptured. Dr Tassone had missed my appendicitis, the doctor on saw on my return said he should have done a scan. I was in the hospital for 8 days with infection, I had a bowel resection to repair the damage. I have had 2 full open abdominal surgeries due to his error. I have chronic malabsorption and bowel issues. I should have sued but I was to sick to deal with that and the window to sue has ended. I 100% believe he dismissed my pain because I take medication for anxiety and am a woman.
