2 reviews about Dr Ravi Varshney
I visited Dr. Varshney over 2 years while he monitored my SVT. He is technically very competent and I was pleased with his medical advice. However, his “bedside manner” presents as a person on the Autism Spectrum. He has no filtre on his comments, rarely makes eye contact and is about as warm as an ice cube. Just to be fair, one can’t change being “autistic.” They can learn how to perform social graces that people expect, but it takes time. Sociability in a doctor is a nice to have but not needs to have. I need someone technically brilliant and he is.
For example, one time I came home from a stress test and in the car, the “stress” of the stress test put my heart back into an SVT episode. I phoned the clinic for advice and he actually took my call to give me phone advice right away. No other doctor did that. I would recommend Dr. Varshney any time. Many people are neurodivergent and that should not preclude them from practicing medicine.
They did cancel my one appointment last minute, didn’t follow with results from a previous exam, front desk ladies weren’t very friendly, but that is not why I am giving them such a terrible review.
The lady who preformed my test was nice, but Dr Varshney was absolutely the rudest healthcare professional, or professional of any kind that I’ve ever spoken to. Not only did he belittle me, talk down to me, but he made me feel completely foolish for even being there. I could not wait to get out of there and I left in tears. I do not recommend anyone going to this man, he is terrible and should not work with ppl.
