I had an extremely difficult experience with Dr. Thomas Leiper. I had been taking clonazepam for approximately six years when Dr. Leiper told me to simply stop taking it. I was not given a gradual tapering plan at that time.
After stopping the medication, I experienced severe and prolonged withdrawal symptoms that had a major impact on my life.
I have serious concerns about the care and guidance I received, and I have filed a formal complaint with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
I am also moving forward with publicly documenting my experience through multiple reviews and intend to contact media organizations about what happened.
This is my firsthand account of my experience, and I believe patients deserve to hear it.
